Jon Tarleton DDS MSD
A teacher at heart, when you first meet Dr. Jon Tarleton you will be welcomed by his kind smile and warm demeanor. Dr. Tarleton started his dream of becoming a dentist at college in Hawaii, then to theUniversity of Washington, and finally to Brigham Young University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He continued with his dental education at University of the Pacific in San Francisco CA and completed his specialty training in Periodontics at St Louis University in Missouri while concurrently earning a master’s degree and doing research on the accuracy of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) machines.Dr. Tarleton received multiple awards and distinctions during his education including scholarships, dean’s list achievements, honor roll, and recognition from the Western Society of Periodontology. Dr. Tarleton has held multiple teaching positions including tutoring in math, and college chemistry, adjunct faculty member in teaching dental students in both clinical and didactic, and was on the faculty and a supervising dentist for dental hygiene students. He has also completed additional training and holds certificates from the National Radio Institute in Electronics, certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT), basic life support (BLS), multiple continuing education courses from the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Millennium Technologies, and training in multiple types of dental implants. Training and use in the most current technology including computer guided and live dynamic navigation implant placement, intraoral 3D scanning, cone beam CT radiographs, and advanced tissue grafting procedures.
Working closely with his dental colleagues is important to delivering excellent care and Dr. Tarleton spends much of his time in communication and collaboration with his fellow dentists and dental specialists reviewing patient care, treatment plans, and ideas on how to best care for each of their patients. He also is the director of a dental study group that meets together monthly to educate and elevate the group to be able to provide exceptional care.
Dr. Tarleton has had the privilege of working with many great dentists and periodontists throughout his career and is happy to be practicing full time in Kenmore on the shores of Lake Washington. His vision is to provide exceptional care in a calm and relaxing environment to achieve optimal oral health. He takes the time to listen, asks questions, and provides ideas and plans for comprehensive treatment for the best possible outcomes.
Being married for over 15 years and welcoming 6 beautiful children into this world has been life’s greatest achievement for the Tarleton’s. With 5 boys and one daughter Dr. Tarleton’s time outside of the office is filled with food, folks, and fun. You can find him playing, jumping, motorcycling, building, remodeling, watching movies, playing the piano, eating lots of pizza, laughing and loving. There is not a day that goes by that you won’t see Dr. Tarleton smile.

Bob Gottlieb, DDS
Robert "Bob" Gottlieb received his dental degree from the University of Illinois in 1975 and his Specialty Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Washington in 1977. He has held teaching positions at three universities and has been in private practice for over 30 years.Dr. Bob Gottlieb has served as the president of the Snohomish County Dental Society, president of Washington State Society of Periodontists, and chairman of the Shoreline Community College Dental Hygiene Advisory Board. In addition, he has directed and mentored numerous study clubs as well as lectured extensively throughout the United States including the ADA, ADHA, and AAP national meetings on periodontics, implants and practice management.
He is a board member and founding member of the PreViser Company, which develops innovative software for improving periodontal disease diagnosis, risk analysis and treatment.

Michael Cohen, DDS, MSD, FACD
With a DDS from McGill University and an MS and Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Washington, Dr. Michael Cohen is one of the most renowned and experienced periodontal and implant dentists and educators in the world.Dr. Cohen has authored several continuing education articles, and is the editor of the dental school textbook Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning, Volumes I , II (Quintessence, 2008, 2011). He is currently affiliate assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Washington, and he has lectured nationally and internationally regarding comprehensive treatment planning.
He's also founder of the Seattle Study Club, a "university without walls" for dental practitioners, with approximately 7,000 members in 250 chapters in the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, England, Taiwan, and Japan.
Implant & Periodontal Associates Northwest has two offices, both featuring friendly, knowledgeable staff dedicated to your comfort and care. Our main office is located in Kenmore, close to beautiful Lake Washington.

Hygiene Team
Our registered dental hygienists are trained to help you achieve and maintain oral and periodontal health, performing deep cleanings, scaling and planing, and other treatments. They also make sure patients understand their treatment plans and instructions, especially when it comes to proper self-care between visits.Treatment Assistants
Our professional team of treatment assistants is trained to assist our doctors with complex periodontal and implant procedures. They prepare our patients for treatment and serve as an extra set of hands so the doctors can focus more closely on the procedure.Administrative Team
